Walter Thomas studied at Liverpool College of Art during 1912 and 1913 and in London between 1913 and 1915. He focused mostly on maritime subjects making posters and pen, ink and watercolour studies of subjects such as this view of The River Thames. He exhibited two works at The Walker Art Gallery Liverpool during the years 1913 and 1915.
